About Me

I currently work and reside in Collinsville, Illinois. I earned a BFA degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2001. Then in 2005 I received an MFA degree from Ohio University. I specialized in printmaking at in both undergrad and grad studies but studied painting, sculpture, digital art, ceramics, fibers, and art history. Currently I am working on drawings and exploring photography

After college I taught design and printmaking classes at St. Charles Community College near St. Louis, MO. I also taught classes and workshops at COCA in University City near St. Louis, MO. Plus I worked on my own art and participated in many art exhibitions in St. Louis and regionally.

In addition to my art making I spent time learning web design and graphic design on my own and I currently work as a web designer and production artist for BluSolutions Websites and SEO. I have a great interest in HTML, CSS and design for the web and print. I spend some extra time learning about WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, User Interfaces, User Experience and whatever else strikes my interest. I love learning and keeping up with the rapidly changing web.

Beyond work and art I like watching movies, reading, writing, listening to music and podcasts, exploring outdoors, travel (never get to do much though but I hope to change that), bicycling, history, going to lectures and talks related to my interests
